‘Spielberg’ – Trailer for New HBO Documentary on the Famous Director

famous director

The new HBO documentary, Spielberg, focuses on the director’s life in the industry and how he came to build his famous legacy, spanning over 40 years.

Spielberg is a name synonymous with cinema.

With a 4-plus decade career in the industry, and with classic hits the likes of Jaws (1975), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), the Indiana Jones (1981-2008) films, Jurrasic Park (1993)Schindler’s List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998), it’s fair to say Steven Spielberg has earned his credit as one of the greatest director’s of all times.

The above films, amongst many others in his storied repertoire have changed the landscape of modern cinema, and the new HBO documentary will attempt to tell the story behind the world’s most famous director.

Spielberg himself features in the documentary of course, as well as interviews with actors and directors such as Liam Neeson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese.

The trailer below gives us a glimpse at what to expect from the documentary, mostly outlining the early stage of the director’s career.

HBO has produced a beyond-impressive slate of original documentaries over the years, so this is definitely one to look forward to for all film fans.

It hits HBO on 7 October 2017 in the USA, but sadly, it’s unlikely that the documentary will be released here in Australia any time soon.

Luckily, us savvy Aussies will surely be able to figure out a way to see it.
