‘Despicable Me 3’ – First Official Trailer

despicable

Check out the first official trailer for Despicable Me 3, the third film in the hugely successful franchise from Illumination Entertainment.

The first trailer introduces us to Balthazar Bratt, the bubble-gum chewing villain trapped in the disco-era, voiced by South Park’s Trey Parker.

Gru (Steve Carrell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and the Minions are all back as well for more shenanigans.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the film’s plot, it manages to convey the sense of having a good time watching it, which is more important than the plot itself in a movie like this.

Trey Parker is a nice addition to the cast, considering his long background in comedy with the success of South Park.

Despicable Me 3 follows up Illumination Entertainment’s 2016 release, The Secret Life of Pets (see my review here), which went on to become a financial success.

The characters made famous in the Despicable Me series and now the Pets series have been financial gold for the production company, so expect to see a lot more of these films in the future.

They are of course also good animated films that the entire family can enjoy, so the success is warranted.

Despicable Me 3 is due out on 30 June 2017 in the USA and is directed by Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin, check out the first trailer below.
