The teaser trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s science fiction film Arrival has just dropped, starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.
In Arrival, alien ships land on earth and it’s up to Amy Adams’ expert linguist character and her crew to figure out if they come in peace, or not.
The teaser doesn’t reveal too much, but it sure does look gorgeous visually.
It seems like this film came out of nowhere, just like Villeneuve’s 2013 film Enemy, an excellent thriller with sci-fi elements.
Denis Villeneuve is one of the best in the business today and has a great repertoire of films to his name, which also include the Hugh Jackman film Prisoners and the great foreign film Incendies, so I’m definitely keen to see this when it’s released.
With an all-stat cast, intriguing premise and outstanding director, Arrival looks promising.

The film is due for release on 10 November 2016 in Australia.
