Find out how to kill a zombie in the new restricted trailer for the Jim Jarmusch-directed zombie comedy film The Dead Don’t Die.
The dead rise again in a small town, forcing its local police force to take matters into their own hands and stave off the impending zombie apocalypse.
The restricted trailer for Jim Jarmusch’s new film focuses purely on the quirky comedy we can expect in the film as opposed to the first trailer, which revealed some more plot details.
Going by this new trailer, the film looks like it will be a hoot.
There’s plenty of dry humour and wit that hits the mark and it’s possible The Dead Don’t Die could end up being this decade’s Shaun of the Dead (2004).
Shaun set a new benchmark in where the zombie-movie sub-genre can go and Jarmusch looks to further expand on that with his latest.
The director isn’t well known for producing comedies so it’s a bit of a change of pace in that regard, though it seems to come naturally to him based on what we’ve seen of this film so far.
The Dead Don’t Die features an excellent ensemble cast that includes Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Austin Butler, RZA, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez and Carol Kane.
It hits cinemas on 14 June 2019, check out the funny new trailer below.
