The multi-platinum selling artists Ariana Grande and John Legend will sing the title track on the upcoming live adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
It’s no surprise that Disney has scouted two of the world’s most popular artists to cover the title track to their upcoming film.
The film already has an A-grade cast that includes Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Ian McKellen and Luke Evans just to name a few.
The song in 1991’s original animated film was sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, which you can see below.
Beauty and the Beast is Disney’s latest in a string of planned film adaptations based on their classic animated films.
We’ve seen a couple of trailers for the film already and it looks pretty good, especially effects-wise.
It’s a smart business move when you think about it, as these films are essentially re-releases of the originals, but made to appear fresh and unique by being live-action.
One could argue that the idea is unoriginal, but if the fans are there to see the films, then who is to argue really?
Beauty and the Beast hits Australian cinemas on 23 March 2017.
