Check out the funny trailer for Fist Fight, starring Charlie Day and Ice Cube, in a film that turns the classic schoolyard fight scenario on its head.
This film looks pretty funny and it appears to contain mostly screwball comedy, featuring a who’s who of comedic acting talent.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher Andy Campbell (Day) is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw down after school. News of the fight spreads like wildfire and ends up becoming the very thing this school, and Campbell, needed.
The film is directed by Richie Keen, who comes from a TV directing background, having directed Day in many an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Always Sunny is one of the funniest modern TV shows in my opinion, however film directing is a whole different ball-game, so it would’ve been a challenge for this first-time director, though if the writing is on point, then we should be in for a good laugh either way.
Fist Fight also stars Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Christina Hendricks, Dennis Haysbert and JoAnna Garcia Swisher.
It’s due for release on 17 February 2017 in the USA.
IMDB Synopsis:
When one school teacher (Charlie Day) gets the other (Ice Cube) fired, he is challenged to an after-school fight.
