Billy Bob Thornton returns more vulgar than ever as the Bad Santa in this red band trailer for the sequel, directed by Mark Waters of Mean Girls fame.
It looks like no topic is taboo when it comes to the humour in this film as you’ll see in the trailer.
It looks hilarious, though it probably won’t be to everyone’s taste.
The first Bad Santa film was released back in 2003 and was met with lots of praise, so it’s strange it took the filmmakers this long to get a sequel out.
But then again it’s not exactly a family-friendly, big budget movie that warrants a franchise, considering the whole Christmas theme.
There’s obviously a big market for these types of adult comedies though, so it should please anyone that doesn’t get offended easily.
The excellent Billy Bob Thornton returns to the role as Willie Stokes, a criminal and Santa impersonator with a chip on his shoulder.
He’s joined by Kathy Bates, Tony Cox (also reprising his role) and Christina Hendricks.
The film is due out 23 November 2016 in the USA.
IMDB Synopsis:
An adventure with Santa impersonator Willie Stokes.
