‘2040’ Trailer Wants to Show Us that Not All Hope is Lost for Our World

movies about our world

The uplifting documentary, 2040, seeks to enlighten audiences with the various ways in which we can provide a more sustainable future for our world and our future generations.

Damon Gameau, the director of That Sugar Film (2014) is back with what appears to be another entertaining documentary.

That Sugar Film focused on the misleading sugar industry and the sweet substance’s effects on our body.

2040 will tackle even larger problems that humanity is currently facing.

In the documentary, Gameau will speak to different experts about the ways in which the human race can build a more sustainable future for our world.

The focus of the film is to discover ways to prevent future planetary disasters rather than react to them, which can supposedly all be attained with the resources we have today.

That Sugar Film was an enjoyable and enlightening watch and judging by the tone set in the trailer for 2040, we can expect more of the same.

The film looks like it will be an eye-opener and should get people thinking and talking about these important issues that our future generations will have to face unless we begin doing something about them now.

2040 hits cinemas Australia-wide from 23 May 2019.
