The first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part has just dropped.
Set years after the events of the first film, a new threat in the form of LEGO DUPLO invaders arrive in Bricksburg to wreak havoc, setting the film’s heroes Emmet and Lucy (Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks), and their friends on an adventure of cosmic proportions to defeat them.
It looks like all the charm and humour from the first film is back in this sequel, with its first teaser trailer providing plenty of laughs.
We get to see some new characters, as well as some returning ones like fan-favourite LEGO Batman (Will Arnett), who was the star of his own LEGO film not too long ago.
Much like the first film, the animation style looks amazing here; a completely computer generated world that looks like it’s made out of, and animated with real LEGO pieces (or as close as possible).
The film is directed by Mike Mitchell with Trisha Gum as co-director, with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote and directed the first film, returning as co-writers and producers.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part features the voice talents of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Tiffany Haddish, Alison Brie, and Stephanie Beatriz.
It is due to hit cinemas on 28 March 2019.
