The first trailer for Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born has just dropped, giving us our first look at Cooper’s take on the classic.
Cooper makes his directorial debut on the project, starring alongside Lady Gaga in her first leading role in a major motion picture.
In the film, Cooper plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers — and falls in love with — struggling artist Ally (Gaga).
She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight.
But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
It’s the third remake of the original 1937 film, which starred Janet Gaynor in the Oscar-winning lead role alongside co-star Fredric March.
The film was rebooted in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason starring, before Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson took on the lead roles in 1976.
Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott co-star in the film which is due to hit cinemas on 5 October 2018.
