A new trailer for the Rob Zombie directed horror film 31 has just been released and it looks just as horrific and disturbing as i’d hoped.
31 is Zombie’s latest offering since 2012’s The Lords of Salem, which missed the mark.
Rob Zombie has mastered the art of directing disturbing horror films, especially with his first two films House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.
As horrific and disturbing as his films may be, there’s always a tongue-in-cheek element to them, which shows that they shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
In 31, a group of carnival workers are kidnapped and forced to play a deadly game of ’31’, which involves having them survive 12 hours against a gang of killer clowns.
The premise sounds great and as you can see in the trailer, it has Zombie’s signature style all over the film, which just adds to the overall experience as he has now established a particular style of his own that separates him from other horror-film directors.
31 is scheduled to be released on 16 September 2016 in the USA and i’m hoping it gets a release here in Australia soon after.
IMDB Synopsis:
Five carnival workers are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned, Hell-like compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive twelve hours against a gang of sadistic clowns.
