‘Wonder Woman’ – Official 2nd Trailer

With DC’s extended cinematic universe in full swing now, we get a new trailer for the upcoming Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot in the title role.

The awesome new trailer gives us more new footage of Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, the Amazonian Princess known as Wonder Woman, showcasing her powers as well as busting heads, but we also find out a bit more about the film’s plot.

Wonder Woman will be an origin story that reveals how Wonder Woman came to be and from what we can see in the latest trailer, it appears she sets out to stop a major threat outside of her homeland after an American pilot (played by Chris Pine) lands on her world with a forewarning.

From there Wonder Woman decides to join the fight against said threat, after which she discovers her powers and new found responsibilities on Earth.

The trailer is chock-full of stunning imagery, action, and of course a bit of humour thrown in the mix.

As exciting as the trailer is, one of the best things to come from it is that it appears DC is definitely headed in the right direction (with this character at least), in terms of finding the correct balance between style, substance and humour, appealing to fans that were against the darker tone featured in DC’s past films, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

Whether you loved Batman v Superman or not, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in that film was unanimously agreed to as being one of the best things about it, so the standalone film is highly anticipated, and looks to be the goods so far.

Along with Gal Gadot, expect to see Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright co-star.

The film is due out in Australian cinemas on June 1, 2017.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
