The third trailer for Star Trek Beyond has been released and it contains a new song by Rihanna called Sledgehammer which will feature in the film.
Aside from showcasing the new Rihanna track there doesn’t appear to be much more new footage in this third trailer compared to what we’ve seen in the first two.
There’s a hint of Captain Kirk having somewhat of an identity crisis in this trailer and heaps of action of course.
The new Rihanna song Sledgehammer sounds like it has a cool melody and will be worth listening to when it’s released in its entirety.
It’s an interesting choice featuring her music in the promotion of the film, which means the filmmakers may be trying to target a wider audience.

The film’s cast including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho and the late Anton Yelchin all return to reprise their roles in Beyond.
It will be directed by Justin Lin of Fast & Furious fame so we can expect lots of unique action set pieces.
