‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ is a New Adventure Filled Disney Animation

Raya and the Last Dragon new trailer

From the studio behind Moana (2016) comes the new fantasy-adventure animated film, Raya and the Last Dragon starring Kelly Marie Tran.

The film follows the story of Raya (Marie Tran), a warrior who sets out to find the last known dragon and defeat an evil force and unite an ancient land’s people.

She’ll enlist the help of a rag-tag bunch of warriors, including a super-dexterous baby, and learn trust and teamwork along the way.

Raya and the Last Dragon features the voices of Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, Sandra Oh, Benedict Wong, and Alan Tudyk in supporting roles.

The film comes to us from Walt Disney Animation Studios, who look to extend their run of extremely enjoyable, family-friendly animated adventures, following on from the likes of Frozen (2013)Frozen 2 (2019), and the aforementioned Moana, to name a few of a list of many classics.

Raya and the Last Dragon features a stunning animation style with a variety of unique characters, set in a fictional world that seems to have been influenced by historical China.

It seems to have all the right elements to make for an exciting fantasy animated film, and should please fans of the studios’ past work.

The film arrives in Australian cinemas from 4 March 2021, and then on Disney+ with Premier Access* from 5 March 2021.

*Additional fee applies to Premier Access, and you can subscribe to Disney+ here if you haven’t already.
