Firefighting Shenanigans in New Family Comedy Film ‘Playing with Fire’

playing with fire trailer

John Cena headlines the hilarious new family film Playing with Fire, featuring lots of laugh-out-loud slapstick comedy.

Cena plays a stern firefighter in charge of a rag-tag crew and is forced to become a proxy father figure to a family of young siblings when their home is lost due to a fire.

It’s a humorous contrast of personalities between the three children and this rugged group of firefighters, resulting in some funny shenanigans.

The trailer plays heavy on the goofy humour featured in the film and it looks like it’ll be a hoot.

It’s one of those stories where the adults will learn to lighten up with the kids help, and the kids will likewise learn some valuable wisdom.

This theme is prevalant through most of these family comedy movies and always makes for some good entertainment value.

Cena has come a long way with his film acting career and he is a natural in comedy roles (see 2018’s Blockers).

Funnyman Keegan-Michael Key and John Leguizamo co-star, along with Deadpool 2’s (2018) Brianna Hildebrand leading the younger trio of actors.

Playing with Fire is directed by Andy Fickman, whose past films include Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015) and Race to Witch Mountain (2009).

Check out this awesome new comedy film in theatres from 8 November 2019.
