charity events australia

The upcoming children’s film Peter Rabbit will be screening early across Australia on 11 March as part of a charity event to raise funds for Sony Foundation’s Children’s Holiday Camp Program.

The advanced screenings will take place at Event Cinemas, Village Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle, Hoyts, Dendy, Reading, Wallis, Grand Cinemas, Ace Cinemas and United Cinemas*.

Proceeds from the event will be used to support this unique respite program for children with special needs.

The Sony Foundation is now in its 20th year of funding the Children’s Holiday Camp Program, which sees high school and university students given the opportunity to take care of children with special needs over four days, allowing their families some valuable time off.

Each year, over 1,100 students from 46 schools and 4 universities around the country along with 600 special needs children benefit from the experience, at no cost to the families.

Funds raised from the advanced screening event will ensure the program continues to grow and keep offering families this unique experience.

Ticket prices are $10.00 (online booking fees may apply) – a bargain for a good cause!

Tickets are available online or at the box office at the participating cinemas listed above and you can read more about the Children’s Holiday Camp Program here.

Peter Rabbit releases nationally on 22 March 2018.
