A new trailer for the upcoming science-fiction thriller film Morgan has been released and it looks promising.
In Morgan, an artificially created human is put under strenuous testing in a lab, however things start to go wrong when the being turns violent.
The premise is intriguing and when done right, the merging of science fiction and horror is always interesting to watch.
There have been plenty of movies where an artificially created creature or robot have turned on their creators so there’s nothing new there, but with an excellent cast, this looks like one to look out for.
The film stars Kate Mara, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Paul Giamatti, Toby Jones and Anya Taylor-Joy, who was fantastic in the recent horror film The Witch (review here).
Morgan is directed by Luke Scott in his directorial debut, who also just happens to be the son of legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott.
With Ridley Scott also serving as producer on the film, Morgan gets some extra credibility so here’s hoping Luke can pull this off.
Morgan is set for release in September in the USA.
IMDB Synopsis:
A corporate risk-management consultant has to decide and determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being’s life that was made in a laboratory environment.
