Justice League has just finished filming and to celebrate, director Zack Snyder released an awesome behind-the-scenes video for fans today.
The video below shows footage from the making of the film, which includes glimpses of all the stars as well as a message from the director at the end.
It’s interesting to note just how different the final footage looks compared to the raw behind-the-scenes footage, once the colour grade is added in post-production.
The grade in question is that dark hue of greyish-blue, which sets the tone for the cinematic universe Snyder has created for DC’s film outings.
It’s a stark contrast to Marvel’s ‘lighter’ looking films, which is just what we need as comic-book movie fans in my opinion.
Justice League will be DC’s answer to Marvel’s The Avengers, and it will feature Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman respectively.
Since the negative backlash of Batman v Superman was received, DC have come out and said that Justice League will feature a lighter tone with more humour, which in my opinion isn’t really necessary, though with this new video and the teaser trailer we received at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, it looks like they’ve hit the mark on the balance between the tone.
Let’s hope there’s a full trailer for the film soon!
Justice League releases on 17 November 2017.
