‘Goat’ – Trailer

goat

A trailer for the upcoming frat-house drama film Goat has been released, starring  James Franco, Ben Schnetzer and Nick Jonas.

Stylistically, this looks like it could fit somewhere between the films Dear White People and Spring Breakers.

The trailer starts off showing some of the typical fraternity fun and games, but quickly goes dark.

Goat looks like a gritty drama, that reveals in a raw fashion what it’s like to be in a college fraternity and the types of humiliating rituals freshman have to go through to get accepted.

It’s definitely not what you’d think of when you hear the words college frat-house movie.

The film stars  James Franco, Ben Schnetzer and Nick Jonas and is directed by relative newcomer, Andre Neel.

Goat will be screening at the Melbourne International Film Festival on 9 and 11 August and you can book tickets here.

IMDB Synopsis:

Reeling from a terrifying assault, a 19 year-old boy enrolls into college with his brother and pledges the same fraternity. What happens there, in the name of “brotherhood” tests the boy and his loyalty to his brother in brutal ways.
