A series of 9 new character posters have been released for the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on the book by J.K. Rowling.
The posters feature the principal cast of the film, including Eddie Redmayne who plays the lead role of Newt Scamander, Ezra Miller as Credence, Colin Farrell Percival Graves and Katherine Waterston as Porpentina Goldstein.
Not having read the book the film is based on, those character names don’t mean much to me, however I don’t mind the posters as they fit the aesthetic style the film is aiming for, which is in line with with the style set in the Harry Potter film series.
Fantastic Beasts is a spinoff story based in the Potter universe and should be a hit for Warner Brothers’ considering the fan base behind the franchise, and is likely to produce a series of sequels (IMDB lists that the sequel for this film has already been announced).
David Yates steps back into this fictional magical world to direct the film, having already directed 4 past Harry Potter films.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits Australian cinemas on 17 November 2016 and worldwide around the same time.
