Cool Clip from Disney Pixar Movie ‘Soul’ Highlights the Power of Music

disney pixar movie soul

A clip from the new Disney Pixar movie Soul has been released and features Jamie Foxx’s Joe teach some band students about the power of music.

Foxx plays Joe, a music teacher and jazz aficionado who after an accident is sent to ‘The Great Before’, a place where souls go to gain personalities before moving onto their human form.

It’s there that Joe befriends a sprightly soul called 22 (Tina Fey), who believes the human experience is overrated.

Joe is determined to show 22 all the great things about what it is to be a living being, and in the process is sent on an introspective journey where he discovers the answers to some of life’s most important questions.

The clip from the new Disney Pixar movie Soul features Joe teaching a class of musical misfits who become unsupportive of a classmate that veers off into a trumpet solo.

Joe then steps in with an example of a time he felt the power of music, teaching the kids to embrace the moment when they feel it.

It’s a classic lesson for the film’s young audience and is surely only one of many that will feature in this new animated film, much like in the Disney Pixar films that have come before it.

The film features the voice talents of Tina Fey, Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, and Angela Bassett alongside Foxx.

It’s due for release exclusively on Disney+ on 25 December 2020, sign up here to watch it!
