Bruce Willis Stars in Remake for Action-Film, ‘Death Wish’ – Trailer

death wish 2017

The 1974 action classic Death Wish gets a modern reimagining from horror maestro Eli Roth, starring Bruce Willis in the lead role.

After his wife and daughter are attacked in a vicious home invasion, Dr. Paul Kersey (Willis) takes the law into his own hands by going on a violent killing spree, taking out one criminal at a time.

Roth’s remake of the 1974 Charles Bronson-led action film of the same name follows the same premise, just based in the modern world.

It’s a classic revenge tale, which often makes for good entertainment.

The first thing I noticed in the trailer is just how bad the acting and dialogue is, but by the end of it, I was more intrigued than ever to see it.

Once you can accept movies like this for what they are, you’ll often find yourself having a good time.

Early on in the trailer I was judging everything about this film, until I decided to just go along with what director Eli Roth was selling here, and found myself enjoying it more than I thought I would.

Roth is an expert at producing gruesome, violent films with a humorous twist, and it looks like Death Wish falls into that category nicely.

The film also features a fantastic supporting cast in Elisabeth Shue, Vincent D’Onofrio and Dean Norris.

Death Wish hits cinemas on 22 November 2017 in the USA.
