Hollywood Talent to Feature Across Several Upcoming Video Games

Hollywood talents have lent their likenesses to various upcoming video games, making for a welcome bonus to game and film lovers around the world.

Film and TV actors have been involved with video games before in a voice-acting capacity, though lately, it seems there’s been a trend of actors providing their likenesses to video game characters.

The first game on this list is the highly anticipated Death Stranding, which features a massive star lineup in its cast.

The game comes to us from creative director Hideo Kojima, best known for his work on creating the massively popular Metal Gear Solid games.

Check out the mind-bending new trailer below and see how many faces you can spot (we’ll list them below the video).

Don’t bother trying to decipher the story of gameplay in this one as it may potentially cause your head to explode.

The sci-fi/horror action-survival game features an outstanding principal cast that includes:

Norman Reedus (of TV’s The Walking Dead fame)

Mads Mikkelsen (who recently starred in 2019’s Polar and 2018’s Arctic)

Margaret Qualley (who recently starred in the Netflix sci-fi original film IO as well as 2017’s Death Note)

Léa Seydoux (popular French actress whose credits include the 2015 Bond film Spectre and the highly regarded Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013))

Furthermore, the game features cameos from the legendary director/producer Guillermo del Toro as well as cult-movie favourite director Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed Drive (2011) and The Neon Demon (2016).

Next up, and it’s a big one from gaming studio Electronic Arts, is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Star Wars fans will be able to control a new Jedi character by the name of Cal Kestis and make use of his Jedi-powered abilities – which means lots of slashing up stormtroopers!

The third-person action-adventure game will allow players to utilise the character’s various force abilities, all set to an awesome new storyline based in the Star Wars universe.

The game’s lead character features the likeness of Cameron Monaghan, who’s best known for playing Ian Gallagher in the TV series Shameless, and more recently for playing Jerome Valeska in the hit TV series Gotham.

Forest Whitaker reprises his role in digital format as Saw Gerrera from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).

The next on the list features none other than the man of the moment, Keanu Reeves, appear in the upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person action-role-playing-game set in a dystopian future California.

The John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) star features right at the end of the cinematic trailer for the game above, so it’s hard to say how much screen time the actor will have in this game.

I assume it will be significant, considering the developers even brought Reeves out to announce the game at this year’s E3 gaming expo.

See that cool video below.

That’s it for now, however, E3 is currently still in progress, so if any new Hollywood film and TV stars decide to pop up in any other video games, we’ll update this list.

What do you think of these upcoming video games?
