Monster films are back in vogue, so if you’re a fan of the genre, get ready to indulge in another cinematic experience, this time involving a killer shark.
47 Metres Down: Uncaged is the sequel to the fairly average Mandy Moore-starring 47 Metres Down from 2017.
In this take on the shark attack theme, four teen-girls go diving in Brazil where they discover a ruined underwater city.
Their enjoyment soon turns to horror when they realise they are not alone anymore and are being hunted by a killer shark.
The cast is a mixed bag of familiar faces that include John Corbett and Nia Long, as well as lesser-knowns like Sophie Nelisse and Brianne Tju.
47 Metres Down: Uncaged also marks the film debuts of Corinne Foxx and Sistine Stallone, the daughters of high profile actors Jamie Foxx and Sylvester Stallone.
This one looks like a fairly standard horror flick involving a massive shark but hopefully, it offers a little more bite.
47 Metres Down: Uncaged will be in cinemas from 16 August 2019.
